I remember saying to one of my girls, as we waited for another daughter at high school, how uncool it was of all these girls to look identical to one another. A look of horror told me that we were looking through different eyes indeed.greelyritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11337031538589833151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4279137714915877752.post-12829848851985306952011-11-27T01:50:17.308+00:002011-11-27T01:50:17.308+00:00Ah yes, emerging psyches. I remember having to tell my girls that I've tried my best to let them become exactly the people that they have, with many small decisions, designed. Now that they've noticed that I'm different from them, they must let me be who I am and not an older copy of themselves.greelyritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11337031538589833151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4279137714915877752.post-36248775279469821982011-06-06T00:56:44.847+01:002011-06-06T00:56:44.847+01:00What a gorgeous quilt! I used to be more creative but now if I really like what I see, I try to make it although I may change the color scheme.

And quilting in public is very cool!

CarolCarol at Serendipityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03693184377823215010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4279137714915877752.post-71919493531489198672010-06-12T19:11:55.752+01:002010-06-12T19:11:55.752+01:00Postscript first... quilting is COOL. This is a subject that has been on my mind for a while, and I'm glad you began the conversation. Making a quilt exactly like the pattern or the book or the original is so... vanilla. Substitute some or most of the fabrics with those in our stashes, fabrics that we love, and the quilt becomes our own, and very very yummy. Suddenly I'm craving dark chocolate! : D

Ooooh! Nearly forgot to mention that I love your quilt and the pieced back is GREAT! And if you'd have "enough" fabric, you wouldn't have done it. Serendipity strikes!

~ Ronda (scrap quilter)Momma Made Thishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16693510458953643109noreply@blogger.com
