I've changed my mind...

...I do rather like it now:

And a good lesson for me...
...that although I might not always love all my quilts tops...
...when I have added in a backing...
...and done copious amounts of hand-quilting...
...it does seem to transform into something much nicer....
And it has already been well received into its new home, giving me space to move on to the next quilt for the next person who doesn't even know they need a quilt to make their life complete ;-)

  1. I love your new header and agree that the quilting really makes this quilt sing. All that sand and cactus isn't on the island is it? Did you go somewhere warm for vacation?

  2. How much Red Bull are you drinking to accomplish all this hand quilting of late??? I love the finished look, though I admit I was not super excited about the top at first either. I love it now!

BTW, bragging about 32C does not count if you fly far away to find it!! Am envious of the flip flop weather, regardless ;)

  3. WHAT!?! HAND quilted?? You are crazy, girl! But it looks so beautiful! How do you do it so fast!? I've been working on a small baby quilt for weeks now and I'm not even 1/2 way done!
