It's hip to be square

Done.



A whole bunch of walking foot quilting either side of most of the seam lines.




And each individual features square got the Perle cotton treatment.


Am I really the last person out there who suddenly realised there was an easier way to thread Perle cotton on to a nice sharp needle?



And that all it took was a 'self-threading' needle where you slot the thread down into the eye through the top of the needle.


I can't believe I hadn't thought of that before.

  4. Nope, I had never though of that and of course it is brilliant. I will get the perle cotton and those self threading needles out soon. Love the quilt!

  25. Lovely quilt. Yes, that is a brilliant idea about using self-threading needles. I have tried hand quilting with perle cotton before but spent more time trying to thread the needle than actually quilting...
