Soy Amado No.67
Am I allowed to have a new favourite because I think it might be this one.
Complete cross-section of blocks from different people but the predominance of aqua seems to hang it all nicely together.
I'm also doing lots of other sewing in between but they're all at 'in progress' stages which don't seem to get further than a quick snap on Instagram.
Sometimes I think Instagram makes me a lazy blogger because when time is short it just becomes so much quicker and easier to take a photo and that is it.
Long term, I still prefer blogging; the ability to explain and share more, plus I think you can see greater detail in the pictures on blogs.
So, I'm still staying here.
And for the moment, this is Soy Amado No. 67.

I love that one too. A nice mix but the blue makes it work!
ReplyDeleteAnother great quilt. Love the unusual strippy block, Row 4, 3rd block. The predominance of aqua really makes this quilt work.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is best because it is my favorite color! I just need to say also I so admire your "stick to it" attitude, we can all learn from your example!
ReplyDeleteAgreed - blogging rocks! I think I love this one the most, too. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've had so many donations and completed so many beautiful quilts. Great job! Any of your followers who would like to donate a block to "A Village of Hope-Guatemala" quilt project, Yo Espero/I Hope, please contact me at ellenhernandez@hotmail.com.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have lovely weather on Guernsey - it makes the colours of the quilt really sing :) Might be my new favourite too!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is wonderful! And I completely share your thoughts about instagram/blogging. At the moment I am a lazy blogger too... but writing blogposts takes so much more time. On the other hand after one and a half year blogging I have so many relationships or "blogging friendships" ... I can not imagine this would have been possible only with Instagram... Instagramm is "show", blogging is "show and tell".
ReplyDeleteI really like this one, too! I also really am drawn to that strippy block. I'm glad you are staying in the blogging world as I don't do IG. :D
ReplyDeleteOooh, the aqua on this one is very nice! Makes it look very cozy.:) The last picture especially is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love this one, too. The aqua and other light colors just look so calming.
ReplyDeleteGlad you staying around the blog world. Love your lovely pictures and quilts.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're staying!
ReplyDeleteI want to know what that "other" photographer (first picture) could POSSIBLY be taking a picture of.....with such a gorgeous quilt 'hanging' right there to the right of him/her!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I want to know!!! ;)
Awesome quilt, and I could easily have it be a new favourite of mine too!!! It's lovely!!!
