From this...
...to this.
I tried to keep the quilting fairly simple and outlined a centre diamond shape right down the centre of the quilt.
And the back is just one piece of the same fabric
I hope the person who has paid me to make this for them (to give to someone as a birthday present)
likes it...
...as much as I have grown to like it.
And as it's a Monday and I have a finish, I am going to link this to {Sew} Modern Monday at Canoe Ridge Creations.
oh, this is very fun! Love your quilting detail - very nice.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful! I really like that back fabric too!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is one of the first times I think the quilting has improved the look of a quilt top. Normally I love the clean fresh look of the top before it is quilted, and it kinda looses something afterwords. But your quilting on this has really brought out the fabrics! Love it :-)
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the quilting, especially down that middle column, it really adds to the quilt a lot.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! Love the quilting and those little splashes of pattern. What's not to love? Jxo
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the signal flags used before radio communications. Very nice and very nautical!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fab. I love to see how different quilt tops look once they are quilted. The texture adds another element. It's great!
ReplyDeleteLooks great - they will love it xxx
ReplyDeleteOf course they will love it! The quilting has definitely 'made' the quilt! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting is perfect for this quilt.
ReplyDeleteI have got to bite the bullet and buy myself a walking foot.
It looks fabulous, love the texture of the quilting!
ReplyDeleteHow could they not love it, it's beautiful. I would say they will want to keep it for themselves. Love the stitching....perfect :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's gorgeous - I love your quilting.
ReplyDeleteHOERA! It looks great; I especially like the quilting in the middel squares which look like diamonds now.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he/she will like it very much!
As for leprEchauns: it was the first thing that came to mind as a translation of 'kabouters' LOL
