Soy Amado No.5

Yep, you're absolutely right - that is indeed an upside down tree.

They're all the rage don't you know.

Another explosion of global gorgeousness thank you.

If I'm honest, quilts are the only thing I've actually pegged  on the washing line for months. I heard a statistic the other week which said it's rained every single day here this year with the exception of 11 January.

So instead, the sunshine arrives each day in the mail.

Someone has quilting skillz

Twenty more arrived today: the Netherlands, UK and Bermuda.

Linking up to Finish It Up Friday

Keep 'em coming ;-)

  1. I love upside down trees. That’s another wonderful quilt! I purchased the Craftsy class by Anne Petersen, it’s worth every penny!
I hope my blocks made it to your home.

  8. These are looking so cheerful. Great work! I've looked through my orphan blocks and all I have is DULL. Will have to dig through my stash and see what I can dig up that seems bright and cheery.:)

  9. Please send me your address and a deadline date, if you have one! I'm in California. Just saw that "sewnbyleila" has offered to collect blocks, and I'm interested in sending her several along with some $, but I did not see a way to email her... hopefully she will be able to reply to my comment on her post. I'm not a blogger, don't know if that matters.

THANK YOU for a brilliant, loving project!

  10. Everyone should have a little bit of upside down in their lives - it helps us to notice the right side ups!! Great quilt!

  11. More coming next week from Bermuda. Don't think that you have all the wet weather. We're huddled indoors with pouring winds and howling rain. A great reason to quilt some more blocks while 'he' watches sport on the TV! Your latest quilt is so cheerful...well done!

  12. It might not be an upside down tree- maybe just the root system for stability!

  15. I have been so inspired by your project that I have 13 blocks completed, and 8 more in progress. I will also mention this at my modern quilt guild meeting this week and see if any of the other members in our small group would like to participate. Normally, I believe they would, but we're under a deadline to finish numerous quilts which we gift to local teens aging out of the foster care system. Anyway, I LOVE what you are doing Alison, and appreciate the fact that you have invited us to join you.

It's kind of funny for me to ship blocks from California to the UK and then have you send your gorgeous quilts to the Netherlands to then go to Mexico. My blocks are going to be traveling a lot more than I usually do! ;) Anyway, since shipping is quite expensive, I figure I will wait and send all of my blocks in one big batch, it must be more cost effective that way. Hoping to mail them off within two weeks, or sooner if no one else feels they have time to participate. Would love to hear from you when you receive them...
