A Cotton Blossom Farm giveaway

I am always snuffling around the internet, looking at who is selling what when it comes to fabric.

A few days ago I stumbled across Cotton Blossom Farm.

If the name wasn't lovely enough, it was the website that got me. Call me shallow if you like, tell me I need to get out more but when you click on 'Add to shopping bag' on a fabric icon to order some of it, as if by magic, right before your eyes, it whooshes upwards into your basket.

I liked that.

I am clearly easily pleased.

Cathy is super friendly and has a really great range of the kind of fabrics I like, which they are adding to all the time.

Cathy is also super, super generous and would like to offer one of you a complete fat quarter set of the new Verandah collection by Amanda Murphy for Robert Kaufman Fabrics.

There is this:

And this:

And not pictured, Cathy will also be including the two other fabrics that complete the collection.

Cathy is willing to ship this generous giveaway to anyone, anywhere in the world. And if you are not lucky in the giveaway she is again, very generously offering a 15% discount off your first order with Cottom Blossom Farm if you type in the word FRESH100 at check out.

So, I like a simple giveaway as much as the next person, and simple it is.

  1. Leave a comment telling me: if you could lie on a beach right now; the name of the beach and where in the world it is. (Got to get me some holiday ideas for next year!)
  2. Second comment if you are already a follower.

Cathy is offering 21 fat quarters and even with my basic counting-on-fingers maths I have worked out that is over five yards.

I'll leave the giveaway open until 7pm Little Island time next Thursday 22 September, after which Mr Random Generator will work his magic.

Good luck.

  4. I would absolutely lie on Tamarak Beach in Carlsbad, CA for the simple reason that it's the beach I grew up lying on and I miss it!!! Thanks for the giveaway - gorgeous fabric :)

  7. Well I am surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches in the world where I live in Hawaii! That said-I'd have to find a spot in the shade! All this sun about 340 days a year can play havoc on one's skin!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Thanks Carol!
I'm not really a lie-on-the-beach person but my favourite beach is on a remote island in Ireland called Omey Island

    ReplyDelete
  9. I’d love to go back to Jeckyl Island beach off the coast of Georgia. Extra points for it being during Jan when they put out artistic blown glass balls for you to find. It can be warm then too…

  10. Drive a few miles north of Aberdeen and the beaches are stunning and unspoiled. Really, they are amazing!! Prince Edward Island in Canada has beautiful beaches and by some weird quirk the gulf stream scoops in right there bringing swarmer southern water so you aren't turning blue in the North Atlantic. There are some amazing beaches on the easy coast of the Malaysian peninsula. White sand and snorkling with pretty fish on st Johns in the US Virgin Islands. I can come up with more if you want. My cruise ship life led me to some stunners!

  11. I have to admit I'm not a lying on the beach sort (hate the sun!) but I do like a nice walk along the beach with Archie and I love my local beach http://www.redcar-cleveland.gov.uk/main.nsf/Web+Full+List/C471ABC48E19FA0B80256C78004D8A0C?OpenDocument don't know where they got the sun from on the three photos, it usually looks like the top one so I'm not sure it's what you had in mind! Thanks for the giveaway - the fabrics are gorgeous!

  12. Right now I'd be happy to be on a beach anywhere if my other half was there. A year ago we planned a holiday in September abroad but thanks to his job that's gone down to one night away. Only he's just phoned to say that night away will be at mine. We won't be going anywhere. :-(

  13. I would like to go back to a beach that has wonderful happy holiday memories from nearly 30 years ago - so it would be New Seabury in Cape Cod. Fingers crossed it would still be as lovely as I remember it.
I am a follower, and love your blog!

  14. I have nothing to offer about lying on the beach. I just don't do that anymore. I do like going to the beach and Rehoboth is one I love to visit.

  15. If I could be on any beach, it would be my own :( Ah well, maybe another year!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm not so familiar with fabulous beaches but my favourite of those I've been to was on a little island just off Cozumel. Lovely. I haven't been to many exotic places. My beach experience is usually at small local lakes in Saskatchewan and I'm pretty happy with that. In the summer. In the winter ... somebody ... please ... take me AWAY!

    ReplyDelete
  27. If I could lie on the beach any where it would be either Santa Cruz, CA or Anacortes, WA. Love both of those beaches. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway!

  33. What a gorgeous set of fabrics I thought for one awful (lovely) moment we'd have to choose between the two sets but some lucky person gets them all!!
I must admit I'm not a great lover of sand, so my favourite "beach" is in Kalkan Turkey where you can climb down steps in the rock into the sea! There is a man-made sandy beach there too ;)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Mansion Beach on Block Island, Rhode Island, is my favorite beach to relax on!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm not a beach person. Instead I would like to be in the beautiful mountains, sitting by river flowing over large rocks. The sound is relaxing.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Not much of a beach person either though I managed a bit of crochet on the beach this Easter at Sandown on the Isle of Wight! Used to enjoy the beach in the North of Scotland at Rosemarkie! Got some caves and rockpools! Two extremes here and both in the UK!

    ReplyDelete
  37. It would have to be Whitehaven beach in the Whitsundays, Australia.

    ReplyDelete
  38. somebody already mentioned tampa florida, i used to live in sarasota just south of there and the beaches on the west coast of florida are beautiful white sand, the surf is gentle because its the gulf of mexico and the water stays almost warm enough to swim in year round. (once you live there a year or two you wouldn't think so... but visiting from a cold climate... its heaven)

    ReplyDelete
  39. I could be lying on Pear Tree Point Beach in Connecticut, but it's dark right now. It's a lovely beach, very New Englandy, so the water is a bit chilly, but the views are to die for . . .

    ReplyDelete
  40. Holy moley, those fabrics are beautiful! I'm already a follower. :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. And a beach I would visit . . . I have to say, the only beaches I have been to in the last decade were in Egypt, at a Red Sea resort last summer. Don't know if you want to go to that area of the world, but it was breathtaking. You could see Saudi Arabia across the gulf, people were parasurfing, sailing, etc. The boats were gorgeous, the people friendly and so on. Of course, they assume you are European because it's sort of a European getaway place, but I liked pretending that I could be someone from the "old" country! :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love Klaloch WA. It has a wonderful beach and log cabins to sleep in with no phones, television, computer. You can walk the beach for miles and if you don't want to cook, there is a very nice restaurant. And the view is awesome!

  67. Funny you should ask. I'm in Texas and we've had a record drought this year. My husband and I are planning on going to the coast (Galveston) next Monday and it's supposed to rain all week. Apparently planning a vacation works better than washing your car.

    Thanks for the chance!

  73. I'll tell you a secret for if you ever come to Sydney - about an hour north of Sydney in an area called Pittwater, there are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, my personal favourite being Currawong beach. Access is by ferry only, and there are only a handful of families there at any one time. It is totally paradise on earth!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Fab giveaway, love the purples!

Personally, I don't like lying on the beach. Being a particularly pale person, I just get burnt! But, if I had to lie on a beach, I'd go for the beach at Hoi An, Vietnam as that would mean I'm in an amazing country!
