Soy Amado No. 6

No upside down trees in this one. Just a house and teddy bears which I managed to get the right way up.

Although technically this one is upside down because the machine quilted '2014' in the top left hand  corner is headed elsewhere.

I love a good scrappy block.

I heard today that the first batch of 16 quilts have made it safely into Mexico City and are being delivered to the home today.

Hopefully, I will have photos to show soon.

This will be the first of many deliveries and when I'm done with Mexico City there are other children's homes around the world I can get these quilts to, so please keep your 12 1/2" unfinished quilted blocks coming.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. My sewing room looks like it's been ransacked.
But in a good way :-)

  15. It's wonderful! I hadn't realised that sixteen quilts had been made already! I've been picking out fabrics for blocks (I went with darks and mediums because I thought they'd be practical but they just look dull at the moment!), as well as some fabric that I thought might make good joining strips/binding, etc. I'll send you photos once my blocks are ready and you can let me know what you think!
